"It all began when I purchased a Speedster in a store while on tour in 2012 with Walter Trout. I needed a guitar I could fit in my already full suitcase...one that played well and could wail. I loved the feel of the neck and found the guitar very comfortable whether sitting or standing—and the thing just screamed as I cranked up the amp. As primarily a bassist with The Walter a Trout Band, the crowds were quick to react with a sort of confused laughter as they watched me put down my bass and pick up this tiny space-aged looking device. With the Speedster in hand, I would then plug into Walter’s amp and proceed to play serious lead guitar for a couple songs. It is always a hit with the audience as this toy sized instrument burns its way across stages all over the world. I keep it with me on every tour not only to keep up my chops as I travel, but as my lead instrument for a couple of featured tunes on stage. Very impressive."
