"Thanks to my wife Kathy, I stumbled onto the Traveler Guitar at NAMM 2013. We were walking through the main floor when she said, "Hey, check out the Traveler Guitars, I was going to get you one for Christmas, but I wasn't sure which model to choose for you". Lucky for me, Kathy pointed out the Traveler Guitar booth. "During our visit to the booth, I got a chance to try out a few different models: Speedster, EG-1, and EG-2 as well as the Escape MK-II nylon and steel models. I was blown away by the playability of each guitar. Every model I tested had such incredible workmanship and attention to detail. I admit, I was fooled for a minute by their diminutive size, but once I continued to explore the various models, I became a believer. "I eventually settled on the EG-2. I know this sounds like quite a claim, but the neck shape on the EG-2 is one of the best 25 1/2"-scale necks I've had my hands around. The entire guitar feels every bit as good as its full size counterparts. The pickups have a really nice open single coil tone and are pretty quiet as well. The built-in preamp works beautifully. I prefer the clean settings for practicing, but I gotta say that the distortion sound is really smooth. In closing, I think that the folks at Traveler Guitar outdid themselves in design, tone and portability with all of their instruments, oh, and the case is killer too! I think the MK-II nylon is definitely the next Traveler Guitar on my list.” -Jerry Cortez
